We are looking for a 3 D Design Engineer (m/f/d) As a 3 D Design Engineer, you will integrate into our “Iron Production Plant & Layout” department in Luxembourg, which is part of the Center of Competence Iron / Metallurgy.
You will be involved in most of our company's industrial projects, interacting with customers and sub-contractors all over the world.
You will work in a project-orientated engineering team together with plant engineers and designers from various engineering disciplines and entities.
In the role of a 3 D design engineer, you will mainly work in the ironmaking sector.
Your tasks will be the 3 D design of our technological equipment, mainly for blast furnaces, e.g.
the blast furnace vessel, cooling elements, iron & slag runners, top gas system, e.t.c.
As a globally active plant engineering company for large size projects and technology provider in the ironmaking industry, we offer the possibility to work actively on CO2 reduction, green iron making and other innovative plant developments like E-Fuels or H2 production.
Your main tasks: Concept & basic engineering for large size industrial projects, mainly in the blast furnace field Generating 3 D design models for our company's core technology & equipment Generating of 2 D deliverables (drawings and bill of materials) out of 3 D models Support in the preparation of technical offers to our customers Support in R&D projects to further optimize our equipment Participation in design review meetings.
What do we expect? Degree in mechanical or civil engineering or in other comparable technical fields Good knowledge in CREO and 3 D modeling Good knowledge in Auto CAD Mechanical Good knowledge in 3 D design review software (i.e.
Navis Works) International mindset and willingness to travel worldwide Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills combined with a structured way of working Commitment & enjoyment of new challenges Ability to work in/together with engineering teams of different fields and disciplines, as well as with sub-contractors Self-motivated with the ability to manage numerous assignment simultaneously Fluent in English; German and/or French language skills is considered as an advantage.
