Manager, program management pmo, gsrc talent development

DESCRIPTION The GSRC Talent Development (TD) team designs training and professional development solutions that keep customers and employees safe and compliant.

As the Manager of Program Management, you lead a team accountable for tracking, reporting, and at times delivering the program/projects within TD.

Successfully manage all stages of the project lifecycle (from concept to delivery).

This position requires analytical experience, attention to detail, ability to create a work breakdown structure (WBS), and excellent written and verbal communication.

The role demands a sense of urgency, the ability to influence and make sound judgment calls, and willingness to roll up your sleeves.

This individual will need to work effectively with leaders, customers, stakeholders, and TD team members.

The right candidate for the role will possess an extensive project management background, must be able to thrive and succeed in an ever-changing environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity, or competing priorities.

Key job responsibilities Develop and execute work-backwards plans to manage complex initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating processes that are no longer needed.

Own cadence, agendas and content of team meetings, and set quality standards for materials presented, and coach people on how best to use their allotted time.

Understand interdependencies of business problems being solved (e.g., aligned workflows, customer requirements, process limitations, legal or compliance requirements, program support, etc.).

You influence team priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.

You decide project priorities, resource allocation (e.g., assign current employees to work on the project, budget, travel, etc.), and/or program adoption, to achieve a desired business outcome.

Communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing, to a wide range of audiences, including Directors and VPs.

You foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution to build consensus.

Partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.

Mentor program/project managers on the team.

You are a simplifier.

You judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures.

By applying project management best practices, you increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.

Contribute and compose strategy documents, OP1, QBR's, and budget initiatives.
